22 people made it to the live game tonight. In a rare show of self-discipline, everyone made it to the first break!
Only 2 players when out before second break. And the final table was set about 1/2 way to the third break.
The shorter stacks were eliminated fairly quickly until only 5 players remained. The the blinds started to take their toll. One player dropped, then Dave fell in fourth place (he had a big lead when they formed the final table).
Ed went out in third. He nursed a relatively small stack for an impressive amount of time.
Jim and Patty were the last two players. While Jim had accumulated to large number of chips. Is was Patty's triple up that put her into the lead. She had over 400K chips to Jims 300K.
After playing some hands to get a feel for heads-up, the gloves came off and large pots were moving around. It was mostly in Patty's favor and when the last hand was settled - it was Patty taking the win and Jim had to settle for second place.
Jim's second place put him far out in front for the season.
