A record 25 players turned up for tonight's live game. Good people, good food, good play - what more could you ask for?
Everyone made it to the first break - just so they could have the great food. With 25 dishes we were really tight on counter space!
We were down to 2 tables before the 2nd break and hit the final table just 8 minutes before the 3rd break.
There were a few short stacks and they were eliminated fairly quickly. 8-handed play went on for some time.
Then the blinds started having an impact. It seemed that there was an all-in each hand. with a player dropping out every 2 or 3 hands.
Rod made it to the final 4 and scored the bonus points - his first of the season. Next out was Kittie taking in 3rd and scoring her first points as well.
It was Jon and Mehmet playing heads-up. But Jon's stack was going down while Mehmet's was going up. That only leads to one conclusion and Mehmet took the win!
Mehmet's win shoots him into 4th place over taking David K. Jim still leads, Tony in second and Jordan held her 3rd place position.
Here's the top 5:
It's looking to be a great finish!
Next game is Nov. 7th.
