Bruce went out a few hands later when they both had second pair, but Jerry had the better kicker.

Good game Jerry!!

FIVE players for tonight's online game. We all made it to the first break.

Still four players at the hour mark.

Only Jerry and Bruce showed up for tonight's online game. This was the last game of the championship (there will still be Thursday night games, they just won't count towards the championship) and Bruce didn't have enough players to make up the points difference.

To make matters worse, Jerry hit a straight on the river to crack his aces, then hit trip 5's to finish the game. All in 19 minutes!

Good game Jerry - congratulations!!

Only 3 players tonight. That about does it for Bruce - He would have to score 5 points. That means a full table (maybe 10?) and win. Since we haven't seen a full table in a LONG time....

Jim went out just before the first break. That left Bruce with 3,434 to Jerry's 2,566. Jerry lasted another 7 minutes. Then Bruce extended his winning streak to 3. Good game Bruce!

4 players again tonight. We lost the first player just 10 minutes in. Bruce hit a straight to bust Jerry who flopped a set. He also too a big pot from Jim who hit top two-pair on the same hand. Bruce had 5,313; Kathy had 1,462; and Jim was still healthy with 1,225. Jim when out 5 minutes later when he and Bruce both hit trips, but Bruce had the bigger kicker. Bruce had 6,498 to Kathy's 1,502. Kathy went out the next hand when she flopped two-pair, but Bruce flopped a flush. Good game Bruce!

Bruce can still take the championship - if he wins the last two games AND one of the games has at least 5 players. It could happen!

Another international game with Jerry paying from Nice. There were 4 players to start and they lost Jon right at the first break.

Bruce had taken the early lead with 3,492. Jerry was second with 2,963 and Jim held on with 1,545. Not much changed by the one hour mark, Bruce was still leading with 4,016. Jerry had 2,430 and Jim was steady with 1,554.

Jim went out ten minutes later. Bruce still led with 4,525, but Jerry was catching up with 3,475. Jerry doubled up just before the second break to lead 7,098 to Bruce's 902.

It ended on the next hand when they both went all in and Jerry hit his king to take the win! Good game!

This probably locks up the on-line championship for Jerry - unless Bruce can convince a lot of players to join them. (and lose)

Five players this week - with one sitting out. We lost one on the first hand. The rest of us were still in it at the first break (even the one sitting out). I went out 10 minutes later when my pair of 6's back beat by Kathy's full house. She had the big lead with 6,405. Jim was second with 2,875 and Anne was sitting out in third with 720. Anne was blinded out 8 minutes after that. Kathy still led with 6,038 to Jim's 3,962. Kathy lasted 8 more minutes, but Jim managed to extend his string to 3 wins!

Six players this week including a new member! Welcome Anne! We lost one before the first break. 20 minutes later we were down to three. Jim had a good lead with 5,968. I was next with 3,896 and Jon trailed with 2,136. Just before the hour mark Jon's AQ fell to Jim's AK. That left me head's up with Jim. My 3,908 against his 8,092. I lasted one hand. He hit a king on the river to bust my pocket jacks and take the game. Well done Jim!

Five players again this week. This time we lost 2 players before the first break. That left Jim with the lead with 6,965 chips. I was second with 2,315 and Bruce was in third with 720. Of course, no one was counting Bruce out! At the break, Jim had slipped a little (down to 6,690) I had improved a little (up to 2,815) and Bruce was still there with 495. Bruce lasted a few more hands - then he was out. Jim took him out and stretched his lead to 7,310 to my 2,690. Jim flopped a flush a few minutes later to take me out as well. Looks like a good year for the Billes. Good game Jim!

Five players this week. We lost 1 player before the first break. I busted out 20 minutes later. Once again, Bruce had the big lead with 6,214. Kathy was next with 3,261 and Marv was hanging in there with 525. Bruce took Kathy out just before the hour mark. That gave him a lead of 8,990 to Marv's 1,010. But Marv wasn't giving up. He had almost doubled up by the second break and held 2,005 to Bruce's 7,995. Can Marv stage the biggest come-back of the year?? It was not to be. 10 minutes after the break, Bruce hit a straight to take Marv out, but it was a great battle while it lasted. Another good game Bruce!

Six players this week. Action started early and we lost 2 players before the first break. Jim busted out to my "steel wheel" (straight flush Ace to 5). That left us with three players. Bruce had the big lead with 5,797. I was next with 3,608 and Jon held third with 2,595. Jon had caught up by the hour mark. He held 6,810 to Bruce's 3,455 and my 1,735. I went out a few hands later pushing Jon's lead to 7,485 over Bruce's 4,515. Bruce worked his way into the lead, then gave it all back and more just before the second break. Jon still led with 7,970 to Bruce's 4,030. Bruce did manage to complete the comeback and take the game a few minutes after the break. Looks like he's back on a roll!

Only three players this week. Kathy, Jim and me. We were still playing at the first break. I had a slight lead with 2,508. Jim was close behind with 2,395 and you can never count out Kathy with her 1,097. Jim took out Kathy 5 minutes after the break. That gave him the lead with 4,010 to my 1,990. I had come back by the hour mark. We were nearly even. I managed to hit a boat to bust Jim's trips and take the win!
