Eight players showed for the last week of the season. We lost one in the first 10 minutes. The rest of us made it to the first break. Lost another just after the break. Another one fell out 5 minutes later. And another about 10 minutes before the one hour mark. Jim went out just before the hour mark when sixes fell to Jon's queens. this left Lecia in the lead with 7875, I had second with 5445 and Jon was in third with 2680. Jon fought hard, but he lost to an ace with a better kicker to go out in third. A few minutes later Lecia's better kicker got cracked to put her out in 2nd. I managed to win another one.

Six players this week (sort of). We had 4 live players and two that were sitting out. One showed up about 10 minutes before the break. We lost one before the first break (and it wasn't the one sitting out). The last player showed up at the 50 minute mark and still had over 500 chips to play. He'd have had more if there had been more players. Unfortunately he didn't make it to the 1 hour mark. That left four of us at the one hour mark. Jon fell out at 10 minutes before the second break. That left me (3180), Jim (4310) and Kathy (4510). At the second break, I was still short stack with 1835. Jim was still in second with 4760 and Kathy had the lead with 5405. Kathy's AJ took out my AT to put me in 3rd. Jim had 5050 and Kathy had a slight lead with 6950. Kathy managed to hit a flush on the river to take it from Jim. Nice game Kathy!

Eight players this week. We all made it to the first break and we were still pretty even. We lost half of the remaining players before the one hour mark. Harry fell out a few minutes later leaving Kathy (4085), David (4875) and me(7040). At the second break we were still at it. I was the short stack with 4825, Kathy was next with 5365 and David had a slight lead with 5810. It was still anyone's game. I was out a few hands later when Kathy hit a set to bust my over pair. This left David with 6815 and Kathy had the lead with 9185. The match ended 15 minutes later when Kathy hit a straight to take out David with his two pair. Congratulations Kathy!

Back to nine players this week. It was good to have most of the gang back. We lost two before the first break. Another one just before the one hour mark. With a few minutes remaining before the second break, we lost two more which left Jon (620), Harry (1600) and me with 15780. At the break, Harry had 1410, Jon had improves to 1760 and I still had 14830. I managed to take Harry out when my pocket 7's turned into a set. The next hand I found a better ace against Jon and my strategdy of being lucky enough to have a giant chip lead going into heads-up paid off again!.

Five players this week. That let Jim lock up the on-line championship. Congratulations Jim. We lost one before the break. Jim fell out at the 50 minute mark. That left me with the short stack (1535). Jon was in second with 2025. Kathy had the chip lead with 6440. Things hadn't changed much by the one hour mark. I was still short stack (1755). Jon had caught up a little with 3015. Kathy still had the lead with 5230. I fell out 12 minutes before the second break. Jon had slipped back to 1665 and Kathy had a huge lead with 8335. 4 minutes later it was over when they both had the same two-pair, but Kathy's kicker was better.

Only four players this week. Must be something else going on today I wasn't aware of. Anyway we all made it to the first break. But, 5 minutes after the break Kathy fell out and it left Jim (1,585), Bruce (2,530) and me (3,885). 5 minutes after that Bruce's two pair fell to my flush. This left Jim (1,360) facing me (6,640). At the one hour mark we were still at it. Jim had climbed to 1,660 and I had 6,340. I took Jim out 8 minutes later when my I out-kicked him with top pair.

We all made it to the first break, but we were all far behind. twenty minutes later we were down to three players. Barb still had the lead with 8475. Jon had moved into second with 2910. And Lecia was in third with 2615. Lecia lasted a few more minutes until her flush lost to Barb's full house. Barb had 11040 to Jon's 2960. A few hands later it was Jon's pocket queens that fell to Barb's straight. A truly impressive performance Barb!

Nine players this week. It's good to have the gang back. We almost all made it to the first break. We lost Bruce just before the break when his KQ couldn't crack either of the pocket aces Harry & I had. We lost a couple more and were down to 6 players at the one hour mark. By the second break there were just the three ladies left. Barb had 4970, Lecia was in second with 5920, and Kathy had the lead with 7110. Lecia lasted ten minutes then she fell to Kathy's set of 8s. Barb (5290) was heads-up with Kathy (12710). They almost made it to the 2-hour mark, but Barb went out when Kathy paired her jack on the turn. Good game Kathy!

Eight players again this week. We lost one right away, but that was all before the first break. I fell out just after the break, but everyone else made it to the 1 hour mark. We were down to three by the second break. Jim had the smallest stack, but still had 3540. Jon was next with 5370. Lecia had the lead with 7090. With these three it was still anyone's game. Things changed quickly and Lecia went out when Jon's Ace held up. This left Jon (5065) heads-up with Jim (10935). It could be a long night. At the two-hour mark, Jon had sunk a little to 3165 and Jim was at 12835. The next had is was over - Jim's queens beat Jon's jacks. And it looks like Jim is locking up the championship!

This week was flush week with quite a number popping up (mostly to David who also scored a straight flush). We started with seven players this week and we lost one before the first break. We all made it to the one hour mark (some of us only barely). They were down to three a few minutes before the second break. David (despite his flushes) fell out in fourth to leave Lecia with 425, Jon had 4911, but Barb was making the big come-back with 8624. Two hands laster Lecia was out when Jon spiked an Ace on the flop to kill her pocket Kings. Jon was up to 5566, but Barb still had the lead with 8434. They finished it just before the second break with Barb's pocket Queens surviving Jon' Big Slick. Welcome Back Barb!

Harry fell out just before the second break. that left Lecia (huge lead - 11,330) over Jim (3,655) and Jon (1,015). Jon was the first out, leaving Lecia (11430) heads-up with Jim (4570). After nearly 30 minutes Jim had managed to turn the tables and he had the chip lead 10555 to 5445. At the two-hour mark they were both going strong. Jim still had a good lead, but Lecia was hanging in there. In the End Jim was too strong and Lecia had to settle for second. Nice game Jim.

Eight players this week! We lost Kathy before the first break, but she was probably distracted by news that our daughter might be in labor. We lost two more players before the one hour mark. I fell out before the second break (right around the time we found out Alexandria's labor may be a false alarm). Lecia retired 10 minutes after the second break. This left David with the chip lead (8800), Barb a close second (5200), and Jim had 2000. David almost made it to the second break before barb busted him out. The it was "The Battle of the Billes!". Barb had a huge advantage with 13400 chips to Jim's 2600, but there's a reason Jim is first in points. A few hands and it was over. Jim just couldn't make the come-back. Barb took another one!

Seven players again this week. We lost one just before the first break. At 50 minutes into the game David doubled-up by hitting a Royal Straight Flush on the river! If you'd like to see it click here. Jim busted out a few minutes before the hour mark. There were 5 of us left at the one hour mark. Jon fell out a few minutes later leaving four of us. Lecia drew out to eliminate me in fourth. This left Kathy, Lecia, and David vying for the top spots. Kathy had 7500 in chips. Lecia has 4000 and David trailed with 2500. At the second break, Kathy still had the lead with 8000 chips, but David and Lecia had swapped places with David in second with 4000 chips and Lecia in third with 2000. Kathy took out Lecia and the heads-up battle began. Kathy had David out-chipped 9400 to 4600. The very next hand, David won a nice pot to take the chip lead. The lead changed hands nearly every hand until, finally, David's trip kings beat out Kathy's two-pair. Good game David.

Eight players this week. This time we lost two before the first break. Everyone stuck around until the one hour mark (despite Lecia's fixation with Big Bang Theory). Harry joined me at the one hour mark, leaving 7 players. At the second break there were only 5 players remaining. 2 more players dropped out in the first 10 minutes after the break, leaving Jim (with a big stack), David (small stack) and Jon (just right). David managed a couple quick double-ups (compliments of Jim) He was still short stacked but Jim was working his way down to Jon's stack size. David hung in there, doubling-up then getting blinded down. But, in the end, Jon took him out. Jim had 10,500 to Jon's 7,000. It could be a long night! I guess by long I meant 30 minutes. We were down to 3 at the 1 hour 47 minute mark. Jim had the lead, I was close behind. Harry was in third with a respectable stack. Jim took out Harry within 5 minutes and I didn't last much longer. Great game JIM!

BTW - Jim has finished in the top three 8 times out of 15 games! He's won 5 of those! Is there any stopping him?

Very similar game to last week. 9 players, all but one made it to the first break. We were down to 4 players by the end of the first hour and Bruce had a big chip lead. Jim fell out at the 1 hour 15 minnute mark, leaving Bruce with a big chip lead and Jon & I fighting for second. I had a couple good hands and managed to take the lead at the second break (barely). Bruce had a few less chips and Jon had less than 1000. Jon dropped out just after the break leaving Bruce and I heads-up with pretty even stacks. The lead went back an forth and we almost hit the 2 hour mark. But then Bruce hit a straight flush to take me out. Great game Bruce!

9 players this week. All but one made it to the first break. By the end of the first hour we were down to 5 players and Barb had the chip lead (again!). 15 minutes before the second break we were down to three. It was me and the Billes (Jim and Barb). Barb had the lead, I was second and Jim had a comfortable third place. At the break we were still at it, but I had a small lead. Over the next 20 minutes that lead shifted to Jim and he eventually took all my chips. He had a 4-to-1 chip lead over Barb going into heads-up. 4 minutes short of the 2 hour mark, Barb had a good hand, but Jim had a slightly better one. Nice game Jim!

9 players again this week. The action was a little slower this week. Everyone made it to the first break. Barb jumped out to an early lead (probably because it was her birthday) At the one hour mark, Barb still had a good lead and only one player was out. Looked like a long night. Or maybe not. Just before the second break, David dropped out leaving Barb, Kathy, and John to play for first. Barb still had the big stack, but Kathy and John had a lot of life left. John lasted a couple minutes, then Barb took him out adding to her lead. It was Barb & Kathy heads-up. Kathy had a good stack going into the break. She lost a big pot, then started to re-build. Then Kathy hit quad 2's and got paid to take a commanding lead. Heads-up lasted almost 20 minutes after the break, but when the smoke cleared Kathy had her second win of the year. Good job Hon!

9 players this week. The action started with the first card. Two players went out before the first break. By the one hour mark we were down to four players. Each of us had 30+ big blinds so there was time. Kathy took me out 10 minutes before the second break - leaving Kathy, Jim and Jon. They each had over 4000 in chips so it was anyone's game. They were still fighting it out at the second break. Jon had a small lead, Kathy and Jim were battling for second. Jim took out Kathy a few minutes after the second break, so it was Jim and Jon with pretty even stacks. Were we in for another 90 minute marathon? At the two hour mark they had been going at it for over 20 minutes with no end in sight. Jon had a slight lead, but anything can happen. Jim fought but finished just a little short and Jon took another one! Good Game Jon!

Sorry for any confusion - I had the wrong paypal link. This is now corrected

10 players this week. Everyone made it to the first break. Shortly after Bruce fell out and we were at the final table. At the 1 hour mark we still had 7 players. Jon was short-stacked, but the rest of us were about even. Things happened quickly then just before the second break Barb took out two players to go heads-up with Harry. She had a 4-to-1 chip advantage and looked unstoppable. Harry lasted about 10 minutes and then he too fell. All Hail Barb!

9 players this week. The gremlins were out as there were several disconnects and generally slow play until the first break. Fortunately, all nine managed to ride it out. The trouble started just after the break with 2 players going out in the first few minutes. Things calmed down a little and we only lost one more by the 1 hour mark. Lost another by the second break (are you keeping track?). Two of us fell out just after the break, leaving Kathy, Lecia, and Bruce in the top three. Bruce REALLY had his work cut out for him as he had less than 500 and both ladies were near 10,000. They made short work of him and it was down to heads-up. The chips flew and when the dust settled - only Kathy remained! Good job dear!

Ten players this week. We had two tables well past the first break. Then David fell out so we could all sit at the same table. (thanks David). Players fell quickly then and we were down to 6 players by the 1 hour mark. 7 minutes later we were down to 3. It was Barb, Jim and me. They each had about 5 times the chips I had. I managed a double up, but Jim eliminated me a few hands later. Then it was the "Battle of the Biles"! The battle lasted through the second break. But not much farther. Two minutes after the break Jim had the better kicker to end the game. Congratulations Jim!

8 players again. Seven of us made it to the first break. At the one hour mark it was down to four. Actually, it was down to four 15 minutes earlier. The four remaining all had even stacks and each was waiting for one of the others to crack. Barb went out just before the second break. This left Jon, Harry and Lecia standing. Jon was the short stack with Lecia and Harry pretty even. 7 minutes after the break Jon fell out leaving Lecia and Harry battling for first. A few hands later Harry scored a straight on the river to take Lecia out and give him his first win for the season.

Harry still doesn't have a paypal account.

8 players this week. Everyone made it to the first break, but some were barely holding on. There were five of us left at the 1 hour mark. Harry had the early lead. 20 minutes before the second break we were down to three. Bruce had taken out Harry and also taken over the chip lead. I fell on the next had and Jon was heads-up against Bruce's monster stack. Jon was down by a 10:1 margin, but we've seen him play heads-up before. Still Bruce was dominating and soon he had a 20:1 chip lead. Jon tried, but luck was with Bruce and he managed a runner-runner straight to bust Jon's pocket kings. Good game Bruce!

10 players this time and, again, everyone made it to the first break. There were 8 players left at the one hour mark. Moments later Barb fell out and by the time the second break came around we were down to 5 players. 10 minutes after the break we were down to 3. Harry, Jon and me. Jon had the big stack, I was close behind and Harry was hanging in there. A few minutes later Harry fell to my straight. I lasted about 15 minutes of heads-up before falling to Jon's pocket aces. Good game Jon!

9 players again this week, this time everyone made it to the first break. There were 7 players left at the one hour mark. Then things started to heat up. It was down to 4 players at the second break. 10 minutes after the break Jon ended up with the 2nd best hand, leaving Jim, Bruce, and Lecia remaining. This time Jim went out in third and left Bruce and Lecia heads-up for the title. Lecia had a slight lead but it could go either way. Bruce fought his way back until Lecia flopped a straight to cripple him. A few hands later and Lecia's 8-3 cracked Bruce's cowboys for the win. Sometime's it's your night! Good game Lecia!

9 players started this week, but again, two were eliminated before the first break. This time is was Kathy & me. At the one hour mark, they were down to 4 players. Jim was still in the hunt and trying for his third in a row. Harry went out shortly after the 1 hour mark, leaving Jim, Bruce, and David as the final 3. Bruce had the big stack, David had the small and Jim was in the middle. 10 minutes later Bruce knocked out David and it was the battle of the Bille Brothers. Bruce had a good lead, but you can never count out Jim. At the second break, they were both going at it, Bruce still had a commanding lead, but Jim had chips and a chair. Jim put up a fight, but Bruce had too large a lead and he broke Jim's winstreak. Congratulations Bruce.

8 players this week. Only 6 made it to the first break. David took out Harry and me on back-to-back hands. It looked like he was going to run away with it. Two more fell out before the 1 hour mark. David had more chips than the other 3 players combined. All four made it to the second break but it was BRUCE with more than half the chips in play. The blinds were going up so the chips were really flying. Lecia went out the first hand after the break. This left Bruce, Jim and David to determine the winner. Bruce lasted 15 more minutes and then he too was a by-stander. Jim had a 4-1 chip lead and it looked like Jim was going to start the 2012 season with 2 wins just like he did in the 2011 season. David came back and took the chip lead. Then Jim won 16 out of 17 hands to open up another commanding lead. At the two hour mark Jim was out in front, but David had made a good come-back. But destiny was not to be denied and Jim won his second in a row.

Remember - It's not how you start, but how you finish! Make sure you're there for the fun.

The first game of the 2012 season had 9 players. All nine were still playing at the first break. We were down to seven at the one hour mark, but everyone was pretty healthy. By the second break we were down to four and Harry had taken a pretty good lead, but Jim was catching up. Lecia dropped out a few minutes later and it was down to Harry, Jim, and me. Harry had us both crushed, but Jim was better off than I was. I lasted a few more hands, but then it was Harry and Jim heads-up. Harry still had the lead, but Jim was closing. Jim did catch up and the lead changed hands several times before Jim emerged victorious 15 minutes later.
